Google Home Family Link

I setup a family link account for my 5 year old. I tried to add Google home and it says it's not supported. Is this feature not available? If not, when will it be? If so, what am I doing wrong?

Hi Larkin,

Thanks for your post in the Google Home Help Forum!

I don't believe the Google Home is yet able to be added to the Family Link. I see on the Google"s blog  Keyword that it is "coming soon".
Hopefully the Home device will be added soon.

I'd like to second and third this...need it for my kids family account.

I would also like to second this. It's very disappointing they launched the Google Home Mini without multi-user support for the whole family.
I was on my way to migrate from Echo to Home but this was one of the showstoppers. The other two are the lack of grandular control of alarms and no web based access to Home.

I see there are instructions now on how to add the Google Home to my child's account, as well as some other users that have successfully added thiers, but mine still says unsupported. How do I fix this?

If you are not seeing that three dot menu to select as below you can contact the Google Family Link support: Here
Update all your apps and restart your phones since that seems to help some users.

Thanks and hope this will help.
  1. On your child's device, open the Family Link app Family Link.
  2. Select your child.
  3. In the top left, tap More More and then Sign in to Google Home.
  4. In the bottom right, tap Add Create.
  5. Check the box next to the Google Home you want to add.
  6. On the "Parent permission" screen, tap your name and email address.
  7. Follow the instructions on your screen to sign in your child.
