Important:
- Proximity: Your Fitbit device must remain near your phone to sync.
- Battery Modes: Battery saver mode and Bedtime mode limit background data connectivity. Fitbit data may not sync if any of these modes are turned on, and data will only sync once they’re turned off. Interact with your device or turn off Bedtime mode or Battery saver mode to restore connectivity.
- Recent Migration: If you recently moved your account to the Google Health app, historical data might not appear immediately. Large historical transfers may take up to 48 hours.
Understanding syncing
What is syncing?
Syncing is the process that transfers the data your device collects to your Google Health account. Track your progress, see how you slept, set goals, log food and water, and more in the Google Health app. Fitbit trackers, watches, and Fitbit Aria Air use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to sync with phones and tablets. Fitbit Aria and Fitbit Aria 2 use Wi-Fi to connect directly to your router.
How do I sync my device?
For Fitbit devices, data automatically syncs to the Google Health app throughout the day. Each time you open the Google Health app, your device syncs automatically when it's nearby. For the Google Pixel Watch series, data automatically syncs to the Google Health app on your phone throughout the day and after you complete an exercise.
How do I manually sync my tracker or watch?
With your device nearby, open the Google Health app on your phone. On the Today tab, tap and hold on the screen and pull down. Or use the Sync Now option: Open the Google Health app, and at the top left, tap Connections Sync.
When does my Fitbit scale sync?
Fitbit Aria or Fitbit Aria 2 automatically syncs your stats to the Google Health app after every weigh-in. A checkmark appears after data is synced.
Where can I find when my Fitbit device last synced?
- Open the Google Health app
.
- At the top left, tap Connections
your device.
- You’ll find the “Last synced when” notification below your device’s image.
Can I sync my tracker or watch with more than one device?
Sync your device with any compatible phone or tablet. If you receive notifications on your Fitbit device, forget the Fitbit device under the Bluetooth settings on your phone before you use a different phone.
Can I sync more than one Fitbit device to the same account?
Multiple Fitbit devices can sync to the same account for a complete view of your activity.

Aria and Aria 2
After you weigh in on Fitbit Aria or Fitbit Aria 2, the scale should display a progress bar. It should be followed by a check mark, which indicates the new measurement synced successfully. If the scale doesn't sync, you might notice one of the following error messages on the scale’s screen:

If any of these conditions happen, weigh yourself again. If the problem persists, try the following tips:
- Check that your router is on and working.
- Remove the batteries from your scale for 10 seconds, then reinsert them to restart your scale.
- Check if you've made any changes to your network, such as a new router, network name, or password.
- Try to move your scale closer to your router if it’s too far.
- The network may have too much traffic or too many nearby Wi-Fi networks.
- Do not use public Wi-Fi to sync your scale.
