How can users send emails using a group address in Gmail?
“Send Mail As” verification email is not being received by a group in Gmail

- Email aliases were added to user accounts by a Workspace administrator
Solution
Google Workspace administrators can create email aliases for a user so they can send and receive email from another address at your domain. You can add up to 30 email aliases for each user at no extra cost. Users must continue to sign in to their Google Workspace account with their primary address, not their email alias.
To send mail as an alias, follow these steps:
- Sign in to Gmail.
- In the top right, click Settings
See all settings.
- Click the Accounts tab.
- In the Send mail as section, click Add another email address. A pop-up window will display.
- Enter the name and the full email address of the account you want to add. Make sure the box for Treat as an alias is checked.
- Click on Next Step
Send Verification to receive a message to verify you have access to the account you want to add.
- Sign in to the email account you added, get the verification code, and enter it in the box from the pop-up window.
- Click Verify.
After doing this, the email address should appear under Send Mail as with options to make it the default email address for sending messages. Learn more about when you should check the Treat as an alias box.
Note: When two users have the same Send mail as address and there is a message sent between them, the recipient will see the email automatically located under the Sent mail label in addition to the Inbox label.
Cause
When adding an email alias, you may be asked for verification that you own that address. This verification email can end up in your spam folder, so check your spam folder for a message from send-as-noreply@google.com.
