Take a panorama, wide-angle, or fisheye photo

You can take take large scenic photos compiled from many smaller photos.

Take a panorama photo

  1. Open the Google Camera app camera.
  2. At the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Panorama.
    • To take a horizontal 360-degree photo, tap Horizontal horizontal panorama button.
    • To take a vertical 360-degree photo, tap Vertical vertical panorama button.
    • To take a photo with a wider arc, tap Wide-angle wide-angle button.
    • To take a fisheye photo, tap Fisheye fisheye button.
  3. Tap Capture photo Capture photo.
  4. Hold the target circle over a gray dot on the screen until it disappears.
  5. Move the camera to find the next gray dot, keeping the lens in the same position.
  6. Repeat until there are no gray dots visible, or tap Done Done.

To see photos you’ve saved, go to the bottom right and tap the image.

Note: To cancel a panorama photo, tap Cancel Close.

Take a photo sphere

You can take a fully spherical 360-degree photo sphere.

  1. Open the Google Camera app camera.
  2. In the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Photo Sphere.
  3. Hold the target circle over a gray dot on the screen until it disappears.
  4. Move the camera to find the next gray dot, keeping the lens in the same position.
  5. Repeat until there are no gray dots visible, or tap Done Done.

Note: To cancel a photo sphere, tap Cancel Close.
