Control which apps can access your vehicle’s location

You can control which apps in your car have location access.

 

Navigate to Settings to adjust app access to your vehicle’s location.

Instructions:

1. Navigate to Settings > Privacy > Location
2. Adjust Use location to control location access for general apps.
3. Adjust Driver assistance to control location access for driver-assistance apps and features.
   1. Note: The Driver-assistance control is only available to vehicles running Android 12 or later.

 

General apps usually do not affect driving functions. They use location access for features such as displaying local weather conditions.

Driver-assistance apps do affect driving functions. They use location access for features such as alerts and speed limit visualisation.
