Identify your business

To identify your business in Google Pay & Wallet Console, you must associate your Business Profile with a Google Payments Profile:

  • If you have a Google Payments Profile that represents your business: Select a pre-existing Google Payments Profile from your list.
  • If you don't have one or it isn't associated with the same business you're identifying: Create a new Google Payments Profile.

To use products and services within Google Pay & Wallet Console, your Business Profile must be associated with only one Google Payments Profile. If you must change your Google Payments Profile association with your Business Profile, sign in to the Google Pay & Wallet Console and use the Contact support page for help.

If your business operates in multiple countries, Google Pay & Wallet Console makes it easy for you to manage them. Create a new business for each country and go through the association process in the Business Profile of each business.

Below are solutions to issues you may run into when identifying your business:

I can’t update a Google Payments Profile because it’s locked

If you previously verified your Google Payments Profile, it may be locked. To update info in your locked profile, submit new info and get reverified with the Name/Address Change Form.

The Google Payments Profile is not selectable

There are many reasons why a profile may not be selectable:

  • It may already be associated with another Business Profile.
  • You may not have the right access level to associate it.
  • It may be registered in a country other than your Google Pay & Wallet Console account.

If you previously verified your Google Payments Profile, it may be locked. To update info in your locked profile, submit new info and get reverified with the Name/Address Change Form.

The Google Payments Profile is in a different country & unavailable

Important: The country of your Business Profile is locked to the country selected during registration.

The country of your Business Profile and your Google Payments Profile must match.

To change the country of your Business Profile, go to the Google Pay & Wallet Console and use the Contact support tab. If you change the country of your Business Profile, it may affect your available products and services in Google Pay & Wallet Console.

The Google Payments Profile type needs to be different (Individual vs. Organization)

Create a new Google Payments Profile and select a new type. The country of your new Google Payments Profile must match the country of your Business Profile.

I want to edit the info in the Google Payments Profile

You can’t edit info when you identify your business. You can edit info after on pay.google.com.

The Google Pay & Wallet Console asks me to select a new Google Payments Profile

You may get this message when the previously selected Payment Profile was deleted or disassociated. To complete your Business Profile, select another pre-existing Payments Profile from your list or create a new Google Payments Profile.

I want to switch the Google Payments Profile that’s associated with my Business Profile

To use products and services within Google Pay & Wallet Console, your Business Profile must be associated with only one Google Payments Profile. If you must change your Google Payments Profile association with your Business Profile, go to the Google Pay & Wallet Console and contact us through the Contact support tab.
