Google Ads Editor can add and modify call assets at the campaign and ad group levels, and it’s especially useful for adding or updating multiple call assets at once.
Create a call asset
Call assets are managed in the Shared library, similar to sitelinks. They must be created in the Shared library before they can be added to campaigns and ad groups. To create a new call asset, follow these steps:
- Click the Shared library header under the type list.
- Select Shared call assets in the left panel.
- Click Add shared call asset (above the data view).
- Make sure the new asset is selected in the data view and add the asset information in the edit pane. Be sure to add the phone country and phone number or the asset won’t work.
Add a call asset to a campaign or ad group
- In the account tree, select the campaign or ad group where you want to add the asset.
- In the type list, select Ad assets > Call assets.
- Above the data view, click Add call asset and select Campaign call asset or Ad group call asset from the drop-down menu.
- Choose the asset you want to add from the list.
- Click OK.
Edit a call asset
Call assets are managed in the Shared library, which means that changing the asset will update all campaigns and ad groups where that asset has been added. To edit a call asset, follow these steps:
- Click the Shared library header under the type list.
- Select Shared call assets in the left panel.
- Select an asset in the data view.
- Edit the asset’s information in the edit panel.
Note
All account-level shared items are shown in the Shared library even if only some campaigns are downloaded. Shared call assets won't show associations for campaigns that haven't been downloaded. Before removing call assets from the Shared call assets view, be sure to check that they aren’t associated with any un-downloaded campaigns.
