Product Linking: Link Search Console and Google Ads

With the paid and organic report, you can see how often pages from your website are showing in Google’s free organic search results, and which search terms triggered those results to show on the search results page. This information helps you better understand how paid text ads and organic search results work together to help you reach people searching online.

To view the paid and organic report, you must have your Search Console account linked to your Google Ads account. This article shows you how to link the two accounts. For more background about the paid and organic report, read About measuring paid and organic search results.

Before you begin

Here are some requirements before you link your Search Console and Google Ads accounts.

  • You must have administrative access to the Google Ads account that you want linked to the Search Console account.

  • You’ll need a Search Console account. If you don’t have one, you can set one up at anytime on the Search Console site.
  • Your account must be listed as an owner of the website associated with the Search Console account.
    • If you’re not listed as an owner of the Search Console account, a request for access to the website will be sent to the current owner when you try to link your Google Ads account to the website.
