You can help control how long your budget lasts by setting a standard or accelerated ad delivery method. Standard delivery is the default setting for all campaigns, and aims to evenly distribute your budget across the entire day. Accelerated delivery spends your budget more quickly, usually at the start of the day.
If your campaign is limited by budget, your campaign could exhaust its average daily budget early in the day, which would cause your ads to stop showing. Because of this reason, accelerated delivery isn’t recommended for most advertisers. This article explains how to set ad delivery methods for your campaigns.
To set a delivery method for an individual campaign:
- Sign in to your Google Ads account.
- In the page menu on the left, click Campaigns.
- Click the campaign you’d like to set a delivery method for.
- In the page menu on the left, click Settings.
- Click to open the Daily budget window, then click Delivery method.
- Select Standard or Accelerated.
- Click Save.
To set a delivery method for multiple campaigns at once:
- Sign in to your Google Ads account.
- In the page menu on the left, click Campaigns.
- Click Settings.
- Click the boxes next to the campaigns you’d like to set a delivery method for.
- Click Edit in the upper left corner above your campaigns, and then select Change delivery method.
- Select Standard or Accelerated.
- Click Preview to see how your campaigns’ delivery method will change (recommended).
- Click Apply.
