Google Ads recommendations help you improve your campaign performance. In the Results tab, you can now view the performance impact after you apply them. This helps you understand the real business value that growth-oriented recommendations provide to your account.
This article explains how post-apply impact reporting works, where to find it, and answers to common questions.

How it works
Google Ads analyzes campaign performance a week after you apply a bid or budget recommendation (for example, adjusting budget or targets) from the Recommendations page. We then compare this performance to an estimate of what would have happened if you hadn't applied the recommendation.
The report shows you the difference, highlighting the additional value you received. For example, you might view a message like, “You got 10 more conversions than you would have if you hadn't applied the budget raising recommendation.”
Where to find your results
You can find the impact of your applied recommendations in the “Recommendations” section of your Google Ads account.
- A summary of recent impact will appear in a callout on the main “Recommendations” page.
- For a detailed breakdown, navigate to the new Results tab. Here, you’ll find performance impacts grouped by recommendation type, Budget and Targets. You can also filter to only Budget changes or Target changes

FAQs
Why don't I get results immediately after applying a recommendation?
It takes time to gather enough data to measure impact accurately. We collect performance data for 7 full days after the change is made. You can expect a 1-2 day processing delay of the collected performance data before results appear.
Why did the impact report for my campaign disappear?
- Manual changes: If you manually change the bid or budget for a campaign after applying a recommendation, impact reporting for that recommendation will stop.
- New recommendations applied: If you apply another recommendation of the same type (for example, a second budget increase) to the same campaign or budget, we will only show the impact of the most recent one.
- Time limit: Reports are only available for a 28-day period after the recommendation was applied.
Why are the actual results different from the forecast shown in the original recommendation?
Forecasts in recommendations are estimates based on historical data. Actual results can be influenced by many factors that change over time, including:
- Market shifts and seasonality
- Changes in competition in the ad auction
- Other changes you make to your account, such as updating keywords or ad creative
