Important updates to the Google Ads Terms of Service

We are updating our Google Ads terms of service, which affects the Google Ads accounts associated with your email address. This change doesn’t affect your use of Google Workspace, Cloud Identity, or any other Google product.

The Google Ads Terms of Service provide a common understanding in basic areas like policy, payment, and liability. As Google Ads grows to meet the needs of businesses around the world, we sometimes need to make updates.

We encourage you to carefully read through the new Terms of Service, which will be effective as of July 1, 2026.

• Updates addressing how your inputs can be used across various Google Ads features to improve campaign performance, including:

  • Information or URLs that you enter into conversational experience and other similar Google Ads features;
  • URLs or accounts that you provide Google access to and authorize Google to crawl in connection with automated campaign setup

  Additionally, the new terms reinforce your responsibility to ensure you have the rights to your inputs and continued obligation to review, approve, or remove all campaigns and ad assets generated automatically by Google Ads features.

• In the US, modifications to the language in our arbitration agreement, including allowing for “batch arbitration” of similar claims to make the process more efficient when there are several identical (or nearly identical) claims.
• In certain regions:
  • Modifications to the language in our arbitration agreement to reflect updated best practices or removal of the arbitration agreement.
  • Our payment language now includes references to regulatory operating fees or other jurisdiction-specific fees (where applicable to ads serving in certain countries).
  • In Brazil, updates to the language reflect Google BR's role as the entity authorized to exploit commercially and monetize Google LLC’s advertising spaces.

• If you’re not able to find your country or territory in a particular region, we recommend that you look through the other regions as well.
• If you’re not able to find your country or territory in any region, that means Google Ads is not available in your country or territory.
