About updates to Google Partners promotional offers

We’re updating Google Partners promotional offers to help you reach more new clients. Partners promotional offers provide Google Ads credit to eligible new clients of Partners and Premier Partners. The process changes from being automatically applied to all clients to letting you choose from 7 credit values to manually apply to specific clients. You'll have more flexibility with applying your promotional offers by selecting which eligible new clients receive offers and the offer they receive.

How to apply a promotional offer

  1. Go to the Partners Program tab.
  2. Find the "Promotional offers" card and then click View details.
  3. On the "Assign promotions to eligible accounts" page, find the "Account" column to ensure you’re applying your promotional credits to the correct account.
  4. Under the "Promotion" column, click the Select drop-down menu and choose which promotional credit you want to apply to that account.
  5. A confirmation dialog box will appear with the promotion terms and conditions. Review the promotion terms and conditions, then click Redeem.

The "Promotion" column on the "Assign promotions to eligible accounts" page will reflect the status if a promotion was successfully applied.

Keep in mind

  • Promotional credits are available to Premier Partners and Partners for eligible accounts within 20 days of advertiser's account creation. You'll find all eligible advertisers in the "Promotional offers" menu. You'll no longer find the promotional credit from the "Promotional offers" menu 20 days after the client's account is created.
  • If you don’t have enough remaining credits for any of the offers, all promotional options for eligible accounts will be unavailable.
  • If you have any policy violations, the remaining credits will be temporarily suspended. You’ll find a message at the top of the page and the remaining credits amount will change to 0. However, credits that were already applied before the suspension won’t be affected.
  • If you choose a promotion for an account but don’t apply it, you’ll have to start the selection process over again before you can apply promotions to a different account. Selecting a promotion for a different account will reset your previously unapplied promotion.

Eligibility requirements

Promotional offers are still exclusive to Partners and Premier Partners. As long as you meet this requirement, you'll no longer need to opt in for offers in order to have access to them.

However, you'll have a monthly credit cap for how much credit in offers you can apply to your clients. The cap is calculated as 15% of your rolling 90-day spend, and is reset on the first day of each month.

Agency eligibility

  • Manager account must be a Partner or Premier Partner.

Credit qualification

For all clients, new customer verification will move from before the offer is applied to after the client has reached the required spend value. It will take up to 35 days from when the customer meets the spend requirement for their ad credit to be applied to their account. If a client meets the spend requirement, but isn't a new advertiser to Google, the credit won’t be applied.

How credits are calculated

Promotional credits are available to Premier Partners and Partners for eligible accounts. You'll have a monthly credit cap for the amount in credits you can apply in offers per month. The credit amount is calculated on the first day of each month as 15% of your spending over the last 90 days, and it's recalculated on the first day of the following month.

  • This month's credits: The credit amount for the current month.
  • Available credits: The maximum credit amount for the current month, displayed in your Partner’s local currency.
  • Credits used: Calculated after a promotion is applied to the client account.
  • Remaining credits: This is the amount of credits left, calculated by subtracting the credits Partners used from the total credits available for the current month.
