When optimizing campaigns, it’s important to understand shifts in performance. However, these shifts can be difficult and time consuming to diagnose. With explanations, you can view the reasons for performance change in a single click, so you can spend less time investigating and more time on optimization. To give you a better understanding of performance in more campaigns, we're expanding explanations to Search campaigns that use Target CPA.
With this update, you can view the reason for significant changes in cost and conversions for Search campaigns using Target CPA. For example, explanations can tell you if your campaign or ad group performance was impacted by changes to target CPA, bid limits, budget and more.
While using explanations, keep in mind the following:
- Explanations can only compare two time periods of equal length within the last 90 days
- Explanations may only show for campaigns with significant performance changes
