Your customer can prevent others from using their Google Glass by enabling screen lock from the settings bundle. Screen lock protects your customer's device by requiring a pattern of taps and swipes when Google Glass is turned on.
Google Glass will lock whenever your customer turns it off or when they put it down (if on-head detection is enabled). The next time that their Google Glass is activated, they can use the touchpad and personalised gestures to unlock the device. Here’s how:
- On the far left of your timeline, tap the settings bundle.
- Swipe forward and tap the Screen lock card.
- Tap or swipe four gestures to enter your pattern.
Available gestures
- Swipe forward
- Two-finger swipe forward

Your customer can use any combination of swipe, hook swipe, or tap with one or two fingers. When creating a new pattern, they'll be asked to enter their pattern once more to confirm.
Change pattern or turn off screen lock
Your customer can also turn the screen lock off or change their pattern. Here’s how:
- On the far left of your timeline, tap the settings bundle.
- Tap the screen lock bundle.
- Tap Change pattern or swipe forward to Turn off.
Your customer will be asked to confirm their pattern before their new settings are saved.
Recovering a screen lock pattern
If your customer gets locked out after entering the incorrect code multiple times, they'll need to re-flash the device.
