You don't need to follow these steps if you have already set up your Glass or if you have the newest version of MyGlass. If you are setting up a different device or have factory reset your Glass, all you need to do is launch MyGlass 1.9 (or newer) on your phone and follow the provided instructions.
If you’re unable to update to the latest version of the MyGlass app, follow the steps below:
Step 1: On your Glass device
- Swipe down on the touchpad until you see the Android screen. Below “Android” you should see "Tap if you’re using one, swipe forward if not."
- Swipe forward so you see the “Computer” setup option.
- Tap the Glass touchpad twice.
- Select the Google Account you want to connect to your Glass device. If you don't see the option to select an account, click the menu on the top right of the app and select Setup Glass.
- Once you see a QR code, tap your Glass to scan the code and in a moment it will connect to the Internet and sign you in to your device.
- You will be prompted on your phone and Glass to pair with a passkey.
- Confirm that they match and tap Pair on your phone.
- Tap the Glass touchpad to confirm pairing.
Step 2: Open the MyGlass app on your phone
Step 3: Bluetooth pairing Glass with your phone
Glass should now be connected to your MyGlass app, letting you use Glass as a Bluetooth headset, as well as use features like SMS and directions. If you're still experiencing problems setting up, please call us at 1-844-GLASS-84 or send us a message.
