Perform a factory reset

It may become necessary to perform a factory reset on Glass Enterprise Edition 2, either as a troubleshooting step, or to wipe the device before transferring it to a new user. This will remove all current settings and user data, and restore the most recently installed firmware configuration.

Depending on how the device is set up, there can be multiple options available to do so.

Mobile Device Management

If you've enrolled your device in an MDM solution, it should be able to remotely initiate a factory reset.

For more information on setting up Glass Enterprise Edition 2 with an MDM, see our developer site.

Glass Settings

If you have access to the settings card on your device, navigate there, select System, and then Factory Reset.

Note: Access to Settings depends on your deployment; it may have been disabled by your authorized reseller. If you can't access your settings, please contact your reseller.
Flash the firmware

If neither of the above options are available, you can also wipe and restore your device by manually flashing the firmware. This will completely overwrite all existing data on the device.

See our developer site for a copy of the latest Glass Enterprise Edition 2 system image, as well as instructions for installing it.

Note: While flashing the firmware, it may be possible to enter Factory Boot Mode (FFBM). For more information, see the Factory Boot Mode article.
