Welcome to Glass Enterprise Edition 2

Be on the leading-edge of productivity with Glass Enterprise Edition 2.

Glass Enterprise Edition 2 is an assisted reality wearable that helps businesses improve the quality of their output. To do this, Glass helps employees work faster, smarter, and safer. It provides hands-on workers and professionals with glanceable, voice-activated assistance that's designed to be worn all day with its comfortable, lightweight profile. Glass offers a convenient way to access and record data with a user-friendly UI and hands-free features.

These guides are here to help you get comfortable with this new wearable device. Any additional onboarding for your specific deployment is provided by your authorized reseller.

Attach/detach device to frame

The Glass Enterprise Edition 2 devices and frames are sold separately. This allows you to order a frame that best suits your needs, for example, a frame with prescription lenses.

To attach the device to the frame, hook the round attachment on the frame to the device’s bayonet hinge, then gently pull the frame forward to snap the device into place.

To detach the device, hold the front of the device (near the camera), and gently push the frame backwards to snap the hinge backwards, then lift it off the bayonet hinge.

Get the right fit

First, turn Glass on. Press the power button on the inner right side of the device. The power LED lights up and Glass Enterprise Edition 2 boots up.

Next, let's see how it fits. To start, modify the nose pads to adjust the fit of your Glass as needed. Keep both your eyes open as you squeeze the nose stem to position the display just above your right eye, but not in front of it. Then, move the display hinge until you can see the whole screen. Adjust the nose pads so they're flush with your skin.

Common gestures

The flat area on Glass next to your right temple is called the touchpad. You need it to navigate around the different cards on your Glass display. Here's how:

  • Tap the touchpad to activate the display and select actions.
  • Slide your finger forward or backward across the touchpad to navigate your cards or swipe through menu options.
  • To cancel or back out of certain actions, slide your finger from the top to the bottom of your touchpad.
Note: Your deployment might differ. Glass Enterprise Edition can be customized per partner, be aware that your version might have subtle differences.
