Connect through Bluetooth

You can connect through Bluetooth from the settings by using the "Bluetooth" card.

Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 was designed to be a standalone Enterprise device, and accessories such as headsets, keyboards, and barcode scanners can be paired and connected to Glass Enterprise Edition without any additional software.

Glass Enterprise Edition cannot be connected to other devices as an accessory.

Enable Bluetooth

To enable Bluetooth:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Tap to enable Bluetooth.

Enable Fast Pair

Fast Pair Disabled

Fast Pair facilitates the pairing of nearby Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices with as little user interaction as possible.

To enable Fast Pair:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Swipe forward using the touchpad until you see the Fast Pair card.
  3. Tap to enable Fast Pair.

Pair and connect a device

Bluetooth devices may pair with Glass Enterprise Edition in one of four different ways, depending on the device type.

Pair automatically

To pair a device automatically:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Tap to pair a device.
  3. Select the device you want to pair and connect to.

Pair by using a confirmation prompt

To pair a device that requires a confirmation prompt:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Tap to pair a device.
  3. Select the device you want to pair and connect to.
  4. Tap to confirm.

Pair by providing input on the Bluetooth device

To pair a device by providing input on the Bluetooth device:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Tap to pair a device.
  3. By swiping forward and backward sSelect the device you want to pair and connect to.
  4. Follow the instructions visible in the Viewfinder.

Pair by providing input on Glass Enterprise Edition

To pair a device by providing input on Glass Enterprise Edition:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Tap to pair a device.
  3. Select the device you want to pair and connect to.
  4. Tap to enter the pairing code.
  5. By swiping forward and backward, select the numbers on the keyboard, and then tap to confirm the selection.
  6. Select "Done" on the keyboard to confirm.

Pair Using Fast Pair

Glass Enterprise Edition is only visible to other devices for fast pairing when you are on the home screen or when the main Bluetooth card is visible on the screen. When any other cards are visible, Glass Enterprise Edition will not be visible to other devices for fast pairing.

  1. Enable Fast Pair if it is not already enabled, by following the steps in "Enable Fast Pair".
  2. On the device you want to pair and connect to, you will see a half screen notification with a Connect button.

Device Connect Prompt card

  1. Tap the Connect button on your device.
  2. Confirm that the pairing code shown on your phone and on your Glass Enterprise Edition match.
  3. Tap Confirm on the device.
  4. Tap the touchpad on Glass Enterprise Edition to pair with the device.
  5. If pairing and connection is successful, you will see a message on the half screen notification that says "Device connected"
  6. Tap Done on the device.

Disable Bluetooth

To disable Bluetooth:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Swipe forward on the touchpad to select the "Disable Bluetooth" option.
  3. Tap to confirm selection.

Disable Fast Pair

To disable Fast Pair:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Swipe forward on the touchpad to select the "Disable Fast Pair" option.
  3. Tap to confirm selection.

Forget paired accounts

To forget an account that has previously been paired using Fast Pair:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Swipe forward on the touchpad to select the "Fast Pair" option.
  3. Swipe forward on the touchpad to select the "Forget Paired Accounts" option. This option will only appear if an account has previously been paired using Fast Pair.
  4. Tap to confirm selection.

Forget device

To forget a paired device:

  1. Tap on the Bluetooth card to enter the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Swipe forward on the touchpad to select the "Forget device" option.
  3. Swipe forward on the touchpad to select the device you want to forget.
  4. Tap to confirm selection.
