Something Went Wrong!

I have and old chat that was pinned for a long time, this chat started moths ago. Now I wanted to continue chatting and anytime i send a message to this specific chat i receive the message "Something Went Wrong!" with the message not sent through.

Hi Ahmed, The "Something Went Wrong!" error could be caused by a temporary glitch, corrupted chat history, or connection issues. First, try refreshing the page to clear any temporary problems. If that doesn’t work, clear your browser’s cache and cookies and log in again.

You can also try accessing the chat on a different  device to see if the issue is specific to your current setup.

Note: Make sure your internet connection is stable, and if possible, switch to a different network. Another option is to unpin and repin the chat; sometimes unpinning and reopening the chat can help resolve the issue

This "Recomended Answer" doesn't fix anything...

It seems like EVERY SINGLE CHAT of mine have been been brought forward to 1.5 Pro, but AH HA, JUST KIDDING, you dont get to use them anymore, cause you actually dont have Advanced or Pro... you only have the free versions.... and you're on a Google Workspace account... so you cant even use the chat's with 1.5 or 1.5 Flash...

This is sooooo fustrating. And like someone else said, enough of a fustration to go back to ChatGPT.

So far, it appears that on the web browser, I can start getting responses from prior chats, but the app on the phone is still giving the same error message of you need to have advanced or pro (I tried deleting the app and logging back in, but that also did not work).

Hopefully this has full functionality on the Web App! Who knows what happened, but I'm glad at least for now the chats are responding and I'm not getting that darn something went wrong message on the Web Browser.

Will continue to try to use full features, as I've only been saying hello to see if it responds.

Google's AI products have never worked for me. First it was Google Bard showing that exact same error message, now it's Google Gemini even after upgrading to the Google One AI membership. I'm in the US so it should be working 🤔

I'm having the same problem on the new Chromebook Plus I bought to use Gemini advanced on.  Starting to think that Gemini 2.0 Advanced is just a gimmick to sell Chromebooks. Google One customer service just apologizes for not being able to help solve what is an engineering problem. I think I made a mistake committing to the Google ecosystem with pixel tablet, phones and a Chromebook. "Something went wrong"

I noticed with this that if an original chat is in 1.5 Pro in the app, if I go to the Web version, that specific chat is in 2.0 FLASH! I think this forced MISMATCH might have something to do with these errors

I am also having the same issue; none of my prior Gemini Chats are responding. They all say "something went wrong." This is very inconvenient. I have restarted the computer. Cleared the Cache. Worked on different browsers, gone through different private browsers and utilized the Gemini App and the Gemini Web Browser. The Gemini Web Browser simply states "something went wrong." The Gemini App states  " This chat was created with Gemini Advanced. Get it now to continue this chat." But I never changed anything and have always been on Gemini Advanced! Hopefully someone has a resolution soon! It's inconvenient to have to keep starting a new chat for clustered topics that build off of the previous ones!

A tip to others - when you go to a past chat just type in Hey and see if it responses. That will at least stop you from using all of that thinking time and typing in your request to just end up with an error.

curious if everyone else is still having the same issues? I have a Google Chromebook and a Google pixel tablet but I still have my iphone and I don't think I will be changing from that. Especially after seeing so many issues with this ON GOOGLE devices! I can understand new systems have kinks to work out, but this seems to be an ongoing issue that is still not resolved. I wont be using the paid version of this after this free trial ends this year. I am thinking of just going back to my chat gpt on my phone because this is not an issue and I am always able to walk into an Apple store if I need help. I wish Google had this business model or maybe something similar so that customers could have more support

I have the same problem 
Casually chatting with the assistant, a moment later that same somthing went wrong message pops up then bam, all of my chats are deleted and i have to single handidly return to the chat history, which often has missing parts in oder to restore everything 
It happened multiple times and it's pretty annoying 
And i can't switch to any other assistant because for me gemini is the most practical 
And i need prolonged memories of the chat and long term chats

I Have a similar problem, but it's not even just old conversations. It will happen mid conversation and shut down for hours saying the same thing. how would i fix it does anyone know?
