You can streamline your creative workflow from generating design ideas in Gemini Apps to managing assets and more in creative apps like Canva and Wix. When you connect the creative apps to Gemini Apps, you can ask Gemini to help you:
- Create new designs based on your prompt
- Access and manage your designs, templates, and project files in Canva
- Generate images in Gemini and edit them in Canva
- Build custom website layouts, add widgets, and move or style components in Wix
What you need
To connect your creative apps to Gemini Apps, you need to:
- Be signed in to the Gemini app with a personal Google Account. This feature isn’t available if you sign in to a work or school Google Account. Learn how to sign in to Gemini Apps.
- Have Keep Activity on. Gemini can’t connect to these apps when this setting is off.
Also, to connect Wix, you must be 18 or over and in the US.
Important: For now, the Canva and Wix Connected Apps are:
- Only available in English.
- Only available in the Gemini mobile app and the Gemini web app at gemini.google.com.
- Not available in certain features, like Gems or Live chats.
Connect your creative apps to Gemini Apps
- On your phone or tablet, open the Gemini mobile app
or go to gemini.google.com.
- Ask Gemini to perform an action in the creative app, like create a design or build a website layout.
- You must mention the creative app or add
@Canvaor@Wixto your prompt.

- If the app isn’t connected, you’ll get the option to connect it.
- Your account for the creative app must be linked to your Google Account. If it isn’t, you’ll get the option to link it.

Gemini can help you with a variety of actions in Canva:
- Create & edit designs:
- Create new designs based on a text prompt or generated image, and edit the design directly in Canva.
- Edit visual elements in designs, such as replacing text and changing font size and background colors
- Search & manage assets:
- Find assets by title or content, and get detailed info about a specific design.
- List assets in a specific folder, or all pages from a document, like a presentation
- Create new folders and move assets between them.
- Collaborate on projects:
- List comments for a design and replies to a specific comment.
- Add and reply to comments on a design.
Important: When you choose to connect Canva to Gemini Apps, you will have the option to select which Canva Team to use. Please select one that has access to an Enterprise plan for the following features.
If you’re subscribed to a Canva Enterprise plan, you can ask Gemini Apps to perform actions that are only available to Enterprise accounts, like:
- Resize a design to a new dimension
- Search for available brand templates
- Autofill a brand template with a dataset
- Get the dataset schema for a brand template
