What you need

To use this feature with a personal account, you must have a Google AI plan. Learn how to upgrade.

For now, this feature isn’t available to users under 18.

Be sure not to violate others' rights, including copyright or privacy rights. The violation of the Prohibited Use Policy or the rights of others could result in the termination of your account. Use your discretion before you rely on, publish, or use videos that Gemini Apps generate. Do not generate or share videos to deceive, harass, or harm others.

Omni, our advanced video generator, offers the following capabilities over prior models:

Generate a video

Important: Only upload photos you have the right to use.

On your Android device, open gemini.google.com or the Gemini mobile app .
At the bottom, tap Tools Create video .
(Optional) Select a template for your video.
In the text box, enter a prompt of the video you want to generate.
- To create a video from a photo, tap Add image and select the file you would like to upload.
Tap Submit .

Tips:

You can brainstorm and refine your video prompts within your main chat with Gemini before generating the video. If so, you won’t need to tap Video to create it.

It may take a few minutes for the video to be generated.
- While your video is being generated, you can’t interact with the same chat. You can start a new chat and come back to view your video later.
You can also ask Gemini to generate audio with your video.

Edit a generated video

After generating a video, you can make edits to it with a simple prompt, such as:

Removing or replacing objects and characters.
Changing camera angles.
Modifying the scene.

Export or download a generated video

To export or download your video:

Under the video, click Share .
Choose whether you want to save the video to your device, export it, or Share on YouTube .

Why Gemini Apps might remove or not generate a video
