Manage your Google AI plan from Gemini Apps

You can upgrade to a Google AI plan for higher limits and priority access to some features in Gemini Apps.

Important:

This article is for users managing Gemini Apps for a personal Google Account. If you're using a work or school Google Account, learn more about using Gemini Apps with a work or school account.
To use Gemini Apps with a Google AI plan in most countries, you must be aged 13 (or the applicable age in your country) or over.
- To use Gemini Apps with a Google AI plan in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, you must be 18 years of age or older.
- Some features may not be available for users under the age of 18 or 13 (or the applicable age in your country). In the Help Centre, you will find additional information about age requirements.

Upgrade to a Google AI plan in Gemini Apps

You can subscribe to a Google AI plan through Google One.

Tip: When you subscribe to the plan, you'll need to select or provide a form of payment. Learn how to manage your Google payment info.

To switch between models:

Gemini has the following available models:

Gemini Flash-Lite is an efficient workhorse model designed for speed. It's ideal for everyday tasks like summarisation and brainstorming.
Gemini Flash is a more powerful model that balances speed and reasoning to solve a large variety of problems, from simple to complex.
Gemini Pro is our most advanced model that excels at complex maths and coding prompts with high performance and reasoning. Pro has a deeper understanding across text, files, images and videos, plus major upgrades for coding and studying. Generally, response time for Gemini 3 Pro prompts will take longer than if using other models.

Tip: If you have a Google AI subscription plan and hit your limit, you can continue chats with Flash-Lite.

To switch to a different Google One plan:

On your computer, go to Google One.
Click Manage membership Change membership plan.
Choose your new plan.
- To upgrade: Select a plan under 'Upgrade options'.
- To downgrade: Select a plan under 'Downgrade options'.
  - If there's no downgrade option, you're on the lowest plan.
To review the membership details, click See all benefits.
To confirm the new plan price and details, click Yes, continue.
Select your payment method.
Click Subscribe.

You can cancel your plan in Google One settings.

Go to gemini.google.com.
At the bottom, click Settings and help Manage subscription. This opens Google One settings, where you can cancel your plan.
Click Cancel membership Cancel.

When your AI Pro plan ends, you'll no longer have access to:

The Gemini app in Pro. You won't be able to:
- Start new chats with Pro
- Continue chats created with Pro
- Use features that are only available on Pro
