What you need

Generate and review images
- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Enter your prompt to generate an image. Check tips for image generation prompts.

- Generate an image of a futuristic car driving through an old mountain road surrounded by nature
- Create an image of a dog riding a surfboard
- Create an image of a jungle with a river in a splashy watercolor style
Edit images
Important: Image editing of generated and uploaded images is not available to users with a work or school Google Account or users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
- Go to gemini.google.com.
- In the text box at the bottom, enter your prompt.
- Tip: You can upload an image to edit or ask Gemini to edit a generated image.
- Click Submit

- On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
- Enter your prompt to generate text with an image.
- Tip: In your prompt, ask it to write a story, blog post or other content and add 'and generate images for it'.
- Example: Write a social media post and generate a mouthwatering image that I can use for a buffalo wing festival.
Download or share a generated image
To download an image, hover over the image you want to download, and click Download full size
Tips for image generation prompts
- Start your prompt with words like draw, generate and create.
- Describe the image style that you want. Here are a few examples: photorealistic, charcoal drawing, watercolour painting, cartoon illustration.
- Include a detailed visual description of what you want in the image. This can include the subject of the image, what the subject is doing and the background or setting.
