When Gemini Apps Activity is on, Google stores your Gemini Apps activity in your Google Account. You can review your prompts, delete your Gemini Apps activity, and turn off Gemini Apps Activity in My Activity at any time.

Important: The article below is for users with a personal account. If you’re using Gemini Apps with a work or school account, you can’t turn off your activity, delete your activity, or change your auto-delete settings. Learn more about using Gemini Apps with a work or school Google Account.
Find your Gemini Apps activity
In the Gemini web app- On your Android phone or tablet, go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Menu Activity .
- You can also go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini.
- On your Android phone, open Gemini .
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial Gemini Apps Activity.
Delete your Gemini Apps activity
Important:
- If you use Gemini in Google Messages, learn how to delete your related chat.
- Deleting your Gemini Apps activity will not delete Gems or public chat links. For conversations with Gems, the Gem used will be noted in your Gemini Apps activity. Learn how to delete Gems in Gemini Apps.
- On your Android phone or tablet, go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Menu Activity .
- You can also go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini.
- Choose the Gemini Apps activity you want to delete. You can choose:
- All your Gemini Apps activity: Above your activity, tap Delete All time.
- The last hour or day: Above your activity, tap Delete Last hour or Last day.
- A specific time period: Above your activity, tap Delete Custom range.
- A specific day: Next to the day, tap Delete all activity from [day] .
- A specific activity: Next to the activity, tap Delete activity item .
- On your Android phone, open Gemini .
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial Gemini Apps Activity.
- Choose the Gemini Apps activity you want to delete. You can choose:
- All your Gemini Apps activity: Above your activity, tap Delete All time.
- The last hour or day: Above your activity, tap Delete Last hour or Last day.
- A specific time period: Above your activity, tap Delete Custom range.
- A specific day: Next to the day, tap Delete all activity from [day] .
- A specific activity: Next to the activity, tap Delete activity item .
Turn off Gemini Apps Activity
Important:
- If you’re 18 or over, Gemini Apps Activity is on by default.
- If you turn off your Gemini Apps Activity, any Gems you create will still be saved to your account. Any chats you create with Gems will not be saved. Learn more about what happens with your data when you use Gems.
To turn off Gemini Apps Activity:
- On your Android phone or tablet, go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Menu Activity .
- Near the top, tap Turn off Turn off or Turn off and delete activity.
- Even when Gemini Apps Activity is off, your conversations will be saved with your account for up to 72 hours to allow Google to provide the service and process any feedback. This activity won’t appear in your Gemini Apps Activity.
- On your Android phone, open Gemini .
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial Gemini Apps Activity.
- Near the top, tap Turn off Turn off or Turn off and delete activity.
- Even when Gemini Apps Activity is off, your conversations will be saved with your account for up to 72 hours to allow Google to provide the service and process any feedback. This activity won’t appear in your Gemini Apps Activity.
Change Auto-delete settings
In the Gemini web appBy default, your Gemini Apps activity older than 18 months is auto-deleted. You can turn off Auto-delete or change the auto-delete period to 3 or 36 months.
- On your Android phone or tablet, go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Menu Activity .
- Near the top, tap Deleting activity older than … months or Choose an auto-delete option.
- Choose how long your Gemini Apps activity is kept (3, 18, or 36 months) or select Don’t auto-delete activity.
- Tap Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
- On your Android phone, open Gemini .
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial Gemini Apps Activity.
- Near the top, tap Deleting activity older than … months or Choose an auto-delete option.
- Choose how long your Gemini Apps activity is kept (3, 18, or 36 months) or select Don’t auto-delete activity.
- Tap Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
How your Gemini Apps activity is deleted from your Google Account
When you choose to delete activity manually or activity is deleted automatically, we immediately start the process of removing it from the product and our systems.
First, we aim to immediately remove it from view. Then, we begin a process designed to safely and completely delete the data from our storage systems.
