When you are signed in and Keep Activity is on, Google stores your Gemini Apps activity in your Google Account. You can review your prompts, delete your Gemini Apps activity, and turn off Keep Activity in My Activity at any time.

In the Gemini mobile app- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gemini mobile app

Tips to find specific Gemini Apps activity
- For conversations with Gems, the Gem used is noted in your Gemini Apps activity.
- For Gemini Live chats, the transcripts, audio, files, images, & YouTube videos, and any video or screenshares you choose to share with Live are saved in Gemini Apps Activity if your Keep Activity setting is on.
- If activity includes specific data from your Live chat, it shows a related icon below it.
- An audio icon
means it includes audio.
- A screen sharing icon
means it includes video frames of your shared screen.
- A video icon
means it includes video frames of your camera stream.
- To view or download this audio, screenshare, or video data, select Details.

Delete your Gemini Apps activity
In the Gemini mobile app- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gemini mobile app

- At the top, tap your Profile picture or initial
Gemini Apps Activity.
- Choose the Gemini Apps activity you want to delete. You can choose:
- All your Gemini Apps activity: Above your activity, tap Delete
All time.
- The last hour or day: Above your activity, tap Delete
Last hour or Last day.
- A specific time period: Above your activity, tap Delete
Custom range.
- A specific day: Next to the day, tap Delete all activity from [day]

- A specific activity: Next to the activity, tap Delete activity item

- All your Gemini Apps activity: Above your activity, tap Delete

What happens when Gemini Apps activity is deleted
- If a conversation with a Gem is deleted, it doesn’t delete the Gem. Learn how to delete your Gems.
- If a shared chat is deleted, it doesn’t delete the related public link. Learn how to delete a public link.
- If you delete activity for a Gemini Live chat, any related audio, transcript, and recordings for that activity are also deleted.
You can let Google use your audio and Gemini Live recordings to improve and develop its services, including training generative AI models. Learn more about this setting.
To turn on this setting:
Turn off Keep Activity
Important:
- If you’re 18 or over, Keep Activity is on by default.
- If Keep Activity is off, any Gems you create will still be saved to your account. Any chats you create with Gems will not be saved. Learn more about what happens with your data when you use Gems.

- Even when Keep Activity is off, your conversations will be saved with your account for up to 72 hours to allow Google to provide the service and process any feedback. This activity won’t appear in your Gemini Apps Activity.

Change Auto-delete settings
In the Gemini mobile app- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gemini mobile app

Gemini Apps Activity.
- Near the top, tap Deleting activity older than … months or Choose an auto-delete option.
- Choose how long your Gemini Apps activity is kept (3, 18, or 36 months) or select Don’t auto-delete activity.
- Tap Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
By default, your Gemini Apps activity older than 18 months is auto-deleted. You can turn off Auto-delete or change the auto-delete period to 3 or 36 months.
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Menu

How your Gemini Apps activity is deleted from your Google Account
When you choose to delete activity manually or activity is deleted automatically, we immediately start the process of removing it from the product and our systems.
First, we aim to immediately remove it from view. Then, we begin a process designed to safely and completely delete the data from our storage systems.
