After you install Gboard, you can change your keyboard settings and choose your languages.
Note: Gboard is available for iPhones and iPads running iOS 9 and up.
Download Gboard
On your iPhone or iPad, install the Gboard app.
Set keyboard options
Change your settings
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gboard app
.
- Tap Keyboard settings.
- Choose which settings to turn on, like Glide typing, Auto-correction, and Character preview.
Make Gboard your main keyboard
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
- Tap General

Keyboards.
- At the top right, tap Edit.
- Touch and hold Reorder
.
- Drag the icon to the top of the list.
- Tap Done.
Allow full access
If you turn on Full Access, you can use Google Search in your keyboard. Your searches will be sent to Google, but nothing else will be shared.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gboard app
.
- Tap Enabling full access.
- Tap Get started
Keyboards.
- Turn on Allow full access.
Choose languages
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gboard app
.
- Tap Languages
Add language.
- Choose the languages you want.
Note: Gboard can support up to 3 languages at a time.

Remove Gboard
If you don’t want to use Gboard:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
- Tap General
Keyboard
Keyboards.
- At the top right, tap Edit.
- Next to "Gboard," tap Remove
Delete.
