Change your keyboard theme, sound, or vibration

You can change how Gboard looks, sounds, and vibrates.

Important: If your device's vibration settings are turned off, your Gboard's vibration settings will be overridden. 

Important: Gboard is available for iPhones and iPads with iOS 9 and up.

Change how your keyboard looks

You can change your keyboard theme. To give your Gboard a background, like a photo or a color:

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gboard app .
2. Tap Gboard Themes.
3. Pick a theme or photo.

Change how your keyboard works

1. On your iPhone or iPad, install Gboard.
2. Open the Gboard app .
3. Tap Gboard Keyboard settings.
4. Turn on options, like Glide typing or Voice input.

Tip: All options are turned on by default. To turn off an option, tap it.
