Some imports take a long time to complete. However, in rare instances an import becomes "stuck," meaning that the import died or is not making any additional progress. In these cases manual intervention by Google may be necessary.
The Fusion Tables web application monitors import progress and reports what may be a stuck import. A dialog box gives you the choice whether to continuing waiting. If you choose not to wait, the "About this table" dialog will show the point at which the import became stuck, and whether or not any additional progress has been made.
You cannot perform certain operations, such as deleting all rows or importing additional rows, while an import is considered in progress, even if considered stuck. To request manual intervention, please send an email requesting help with the table ID or URL to email@example.com.
