Fusion Tables is an experimental app.

Tip: Grab a visualization as an image

Here's a tip that works on most visualizations. (It doesn't work for the Flash-based Intensity Map and annotated Timeline.)
  1. Grab the link to a visualization.
    1. In Classic, click "Get embeddable code"
    2. In the New look, use Tools > Publish
  2. Find this text at the start of the URL:
    https://www.google.com/fusiontables/embedviz?
  3. Insert:  image=1& so it becomes:
    https://www.google.com/fusiontables/embedviz?image=1&...
  4. If it's a map, you'll also need to add appropriate dimensions, like:
    https://www.google.com/fusiontables/embedviz?image=1&width=1000&height=800&...
With this addition, the whole URL points to an image that you can use in the Insert an image flow in Google Docs.
