Fusion Tables is an experimental app.

Create an intensity map

This feature is only available in classic Fusion Tables.

An intensity map, also known as a choropleth or thematic map, colors the outline of countries or provinces darker or lighter according to the number in a specific column.

In order to use this visualization, your table must have a location column. You can set your location column manually.

To make an intensity map in Fusion Tables:

  1. Select Visualize > Intensity Map.
  2. In the Value pull-down, specify the column with numbers to use to color the map
  3. To focus in on a region (eg: Africa) or a specific country, enter the name into the Area text box.
