Fusion Tables is an experimental app.

Data source attribution

During import or any time, you can specify the appropriate attribution for a table's data. The attribution will appear below the table name.

When a view is created or a table is merged, the attribution automatically appears in the view or merged table. In certain cases, the attribution can be included automatically with embedded visualizations from the table.

Appropriate attribution

A simple attribution is "Uploaded by John Smith."

If you've uploaded public data to Fusion Tables, we recommend entering the name of the organization providing the data. In Attribution link, enter a link to the webpage where it is described or acquired.

When making a table of data from your own organization public, take a moment to add appropriate attribution. That will help others evaluate the table's suitability for their own use.

Change the attribution

To change the attribution on a table you own:

In the New look:

  • Click the table name

In Classic:

  • Choose Edit > Modify table info
