You may need to wait up to 30 minutes after this to see your plan for this week removed from your Fitness tab.
On the Today tab , your weekly cardio ring closes as you earn cardio load throughout the week. The amount of cardio load you’ve added for the day is inside the blue ring. The percentage in the middle of the ring is the overall progress you’ve made toward your weekly target, and the total cardio load you’ve earned for the week is at the bottom.
A weekly target helps smooth out day-to-day changes in your cardio load so that you can focus on making consistent progress over time, rather than hitting a specific number each day. It also gives you more flexibility. If you have a busy day or feel sick, you can make up the load later in the week.
Your weekly cardio target adjusts to your current fitness level. It's calculated based on your average cardio load from the last 4 weeks.
Hitting your target regularly helps you gradually and consistently increase cardio, which is key to building cardio strength and overall fitness. Exceeding your target can help you see greater fitness gains. Fitbit will let you know if you push too drastically, which can increase your risk of injury and fatigue.
You’ll get your first personalized weekly cardio target once you wear your device and earn cardio load for at least 7 days.
Sleep tab
The Sleep tab is home to your detailed sleep data, measured by an updated algorithm. You’ll find your sleep duration, awake time, time in sleep stages, and sleep score.
New sleep algorithm
- Better "Time to Sleep" tracking: Your device can more accurately tell the difference between relaxing (like reading a book) and actually trying to fall asleep. This means your "Time in Bed" will more closely match your real sleep habits.
- More accurate sleep stages: The refreshed algorithm can more accurately categorize a wider variety of sleep patterns and schedules.
The Sleep tab offers detailed information about your sleep summary, sleep stages, and sleep score.
Coaching gives you personalized tips to get your sleep on track and hit your sleep goals. It uses your sleep data to recommend ways to improve your sleep quality and consistency. These suggestions aren't meant to treat sleep disorders.
To get started, go to the Sleep tab to access your coaching spotlight, last night's sleep summary, and your main sleep metrics.
- You can tap Say more about my sleep to start a conversation with your personal health coach built with Gemini in the Sleep tab.
- Your coach will analyze your data based on your sleep metrics and provide detailed sleep insights and suggestions.
Health tab
The Health tab is a central place for all your personal health and wellness information. This includes:
- Vitals: Previously called Health Metrics. Tracks vital health measurements like SpO2, heart rate variability, breathing rate, skin temperature variation, and resting heart rate from your Fitbit device or Pixel Watch and notifies you if any metrics are outside of your personal range.

Custom foods previously added in the Fitbit app cannot be deleted within the Public Preview version of the Fitbit app at this time. To manage or delete these items, switch back to the publicly available Fitbit app.
Fix duplicate meals
Some third-party apps may report the same meal through multiple connections. For example, a connected app may log what you’ve eaten directly to the Fitbit app, then log it again via Health Connect. If you find the same meal listed multiple times in the Fitbit app, review your connected sources to choose how you sync your data.
Step 1: Check which nutrition apps you’ve connected in Health Connect
- Open the Fitbit app
.
- Tap Devices
Apps and Services
