Custom parameter reporting
Google Analytics for Firebase allows you to specify 25 parameters with each logged event. You can then identify up to 50 total event parameters (40 numeric and 10 textual) for which you would like to see reporting by registering those parameters with their corresponding events. Once your custom parameters have been registered, Google Analytics for Firebase will display a corresponding card showing the data in each event detail report.
You can add custom parameters to events. To get started:
In Google Analytics for Firebase select the Events tab. The Events screen will appear.
Identify an event that you'd like to add custom parameters to. In the desired event's row, select Set up parameter reporting. The Set up parameter reporting screen will appear, where you may customize the selected event's report by entering or selecting the parameters that you'd like to use.
From this screen, you may select an existing parameter, or create a new one:
Click in the Enter parameter name box and type the name of the parameter you'd like to add. If no match is found, click the ADD button. If a match is found, select it in the list and click ADD.
Set the Type field to Text or Number. For numeric parameters, set the Unit of Measurement field as well.
Click SAVE and then CONFIRM to complete the setup.
On the Events page, any event with parameters will show a gray box next to the event name, which displays the number of parameters assigned to that event. To edit parameters, click Edit parameter reporting. You may then add new parameters using the instructions above, or click to remove a parameter. Click SAVE and then CONFIRM to complete your changes.
Global parameter report quotas will appear at the bottom of the list of parameters. As you enter parameters, the quota number count will update. After a quota has been reached, the quota count will appear in red.
When you first set up custom parameters, a data card for it will be added to your event detail report. However, it may take up to 24 hours for any data to appear.
