There are a few reasons why you might not be able to see the WhatsApp folder in Google Files.
- The WhatsApp folder might be hidden. To check if this is the case, open Google Files and tap on the three dots in the top right corner. Then, select "Settings" and make sure that the "Show hidden files" option is enabled.
- The WhatsApp folder might be located on a different storage location. By default, WhatsApp saves its files to your phone's internal storage. However, you can also choose to save files to your SD card. If you've moved the WhatsApp folder to your SD card, you won't be able to see it in Google Files unless you've enabled the "Show SD card" option.
- There might be a problem with the WhatsApp app. If you've tried the above steps and you're still unable to see the WhatsApp folder, try restarting your phone or reinstalling the WhatsApp app.
If you're still having trouble, you can contact WhatsApp support for help.
Here are some additional tips for troubleshooting this issue:
- Make sure that you're using the latest version of Google Files. You can check for updates by opening the Google Play Store and tapping on the profile icon in the top right corner. Then, select "Manage apps & devices" and "Manage" next to "Updates available."
- Restart your phone. This can sometimes resolve minor issues with apps and software.
- Clear the cache and data for Google Files. To do this, open the Settings app and go to Apps & notifications > See all apps > Google Files. Then, tap on Storage & cache and select Clear cache and Clear data.
- Uninstall and reinstall Google Files. This will remove any corrupted or outdated data from the app.
If you've tried all of the above steps and you're still having trouble, you can contact Google support for help.

Had the same issue, and it was driving me nuts, because I was used to see incoming images in the gallery without opening WhatsApp.
Do this:
There enable Media visibility. That did the trick for me.
For some odd reason.. New incoming images where only displayed in the private folder within the WhatsApp Media Images folder.
After enabling media visibility, new incoming images got put/merged into the regular WhatsApp image folder and got displayed on the gallery just fine (those images prior were still in the hidden private folder tho.)
