Files by Google requires the following permissions:
- Location: Allows the app to find your friends nearby using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- Device call management: Allows read-only access to your phone including the status of any ongoing calls and current mobile network information to make sure that your operator supports a local Wi-Fi hotspot, which is used for high-speed file transfer.
- Storage: Allows Files by Google to access your device’s storage so that the app can manage files.
- SD card write permissions: Allows you to rename, delete, move and copy files to your SD card.
