Copy files to a new folder in Internal storage

You can copy files to a new folder on your device.

Copy files from Categories section

  1. On your Android device, open Files by Google Files by Google.
  2. At the bottom, tap Browse Browse.
  3. Under "Categories," select a category.
  4. Find the files you want to copy.
    • To copy one file:
      1. Next to the file, tap More More.
    • To copy multiple files:
      1. At the top right, tap More More and then Select.
      2. Next to each file you want to copy, check the circle.
      3. At the top right, tap More More and then Copy to.
  5. Tap Internal storage.
  6. Choose where you want to create a new folder, then tap Add new folder.
  7. Enter folder name in the pop-up.
  8. Tap Copy to folder.

Copy files from Storage devices section

  1. On your Android device, open Files by Google Files by Google.
  2. At the bottom, tap Browse Browse.
  3. Scroll to "Storage devices."

  4. Tap Internal storage.

  5. Find the files you want to copy in the selected folder.

    • To copy one file:
      1. Next to the file, tap More More.
    • To copy multiple files:
      1. At the top right, tap More More and then Select.
      2. Next to each file you want to copy, check the circle.
      3. At the top right, tap More More and then Copy to.
  6. Choose where you want to create a new folder, then tap Add new folder.
  7. Enter folder name in the pop-up.
  8. Tap Copy to folder.
