Move files to an existing folder in internal storage

You can move files to an existing folder on your device.

Move files from Categories section

1. On your Android device, open Files by Google .
2. Under 'Categories', select a category.
3. Find the files that you'd like to move.
   • To move one file:
     • In grid view :
       1. Press and hold the file.
       2. Tap More Move to.
     • In list view : Next to the file, tap More Move to.
   • To move multiple files:
     • In grid view :
       1. Press and hold a file that you'd like to move.
          • To select more files, tick the circle at the top of each file that you'd like to copy.
       2. At the top right, tap More Move to.
     • In list view :
       1. Next to the file, tap More .
       2. Next to each file that you'd like to move, tick the circle.
       3. At the top right, tap More Move to.
4. Tap Internal storage.

5. Choose the folder into which you'd like to move the file.

6. Tap Move here.

Move files from Storage devices section

1. On your Android device, open Files by Google .
2. Scroll to 'Storage devices'.
3. Tap Internal storage.
4. Find the folder with the files that you'd like to move.
5. Find the files that you'd like to move.
   • To move one file:
     • In grid view :
       1. Press and hold the file.
       2. Tap More Move to.
     • In list view : Next to the file, tap More Move to.
   • To move multiple files:
     • In grid view :
       1. Press and hold a file that you'd like to move.
          • To select more files, tick the circle at the top of each file that you'd like to copy.
       2. At the top right, tap More Move to.
     • In list view :
       1. Next to the file, tap More .
       2. Next to each file that you'd like to move, tick the circle.
       3. At the top right, tap More Move to.
6. Choose the folder into which you'd like to move the file.
7. Tap Move here.

Try now
