Check the storage space of the apps

On Files by Google, you can check the space taken up by apps installed on your device. To check the storage space, you need to turn on the app usage permission.

Tip: If Files by Google is pre-installed on your device, usage permission is usually turned on.

1. Under "Categories," tap Apps.
   Tip: You can find the amount of storage of each app.
2. To check the storage, permissions, notifications, and screen time, tap each one.
3. If you're a first-time user of Files by Google:
   1. Go through the "Calculate storage process."
   2. To calculate the app storage, on the “Apps” tab, tap Calculate storage Continue Files by Google .
      Tip: If you aren’t redirected to Files by Google app, tap Back . The storage content should show.
