Bringing Google Fiber to private roads

If you live on a private road, or your neighborhood is accessible only via a private road, Google Fiber must obtain access permission in order to bring service to your home. You can help us bring service by locating someone who can provide this permission.

Various kinds of private roads

There are several different kinds of private roads that require permission. Here are some examples:

  • Gated communities
  • Road owned by a homeowners association or similar group
  • Road owned by a developer

How you can help us bring service to your neighborhood

To bring service to homes accessed by a private road, we must complete an access agreement with an authorized decision-maker for your neighborhood. A decision maker can be a subdivision developer (especially if the neighborhood is still under development), homeowners association leader or board member, or property management group. 

To help us provide service please identify a decision-maker for your neighborhood.

If you don't live on a private road

If you checked your address on the Google Fiber site and you received a message asking your property management to contact Google Fiber, then our records show your home can be accessed only by a private road. If you believe this information is wrong, please contact GFiber customer support.

If an agreement has already been completed for your neighborhood

If you checked your address on the Google Fiber site and you received a message asking your property management to contact Google Fiber, and you believe there's already an access agreement between your neighborhood and Google Fiber, please contact GFiber customer support.

Service is not available in all areas. Your address must be in a fiberhood that has qualified for service. If there is an agreement between a property owner and Google Fiber, you can sign up for Fiber service, but there might be additional terms and conditions that affect our ability to bring Fiber to your home.
