Accessibility

This article applies to customers who have the new version of Fiber TV. If you have the older version of our user interface, please view this article to learn about accessibility features.

Google Fiber TV includes accessibility features, which are available to everyone without the need for any special equipment.

Fiber TV

Closed captioning

Closed captions make television programming more accessible to people who are deaf or hearing impaired. Closed captions are available with the Fiber TV service and in the built-in apps. You can turn closed captions on or off and set various formatting options for closed captions on your Fiber TV. Also, you can turn closed captions on or off for any show using the Fiber TV app for Android and iOS.

Audio description

Audio description makes television programming more accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired. Content providers insert audio description into the natural pauses in a show's dialogue. When content providers make it available, you can enable audio description for the show you're watching.

Fiber Phone

You can dial 711 to call Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS). The relay service helps people who are hearing or speech impaired make phone calls through an operator.

If you need to reach emergency services, use TTY to call 911 directly. Where possible, do not rely on 711 in the event of an emergency.

Contact support

Please contact Google Fiber customer support with any requests or questions concerning the accessibility of our equipment and services.

To reach customer service using your TTY device, you can send a TTY message directly to (844) 565-1245, or dial 711 and ask to be connected to Google Fiber support at (844) 565-1245.
