Accessibility

Google Fiber services offer accessibility features. These features are available to everyone, and you don't need special equipment to access them.

Fiber TV

Closed captions. Fiber TV offers closed captions on our Fiber TV service, as well as in our mobile apps. Closed captions make television programming more accessible to individuals who are deaf or hearing impaired. You can set a variety of options for closed captions on your Fiber TV. In addition, you can turn closed captions on or off for any show in the Fiber TV mobile app for Android and the Fiber TV mobile app for iOS.

Descriptive audio. Available when the program provider adds it to make television programming more accessible to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Descriptive audio is inserted into natural pauses in the program's dialogue. When it's made available by the program provider, you can enable descriptive audio for any show you are watching.

Fiber Phone

You can dial 711 to call Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS). The relay service helps people who are hearing or speech impaired make phone calls through an operator.

If you need to reach emergency services, use TTY to call 911 directly. Where possible, do not rely on 711 in the event of an emergency.
