Frequently asked questions

What is the Google Fiber Tech Partner program?

The Google Fiber Tech Partner program connects small businesses with IT (information technology) companies that can help them with their technology needs while enabling them to focus on their own business. We work with our Tech Partners to serve our customers together. They can work with you to manage your network and computers. They'll help you make the most of your gigabit Fiber connection. Services they offer may include:

  • VoIP
  • Virtualization
  • Email and spam protection
  • Hosted solutions and cloud computing
  • Enterprise architecture
  • Network cabling and non-Fiber router setup
  • Virtual data centers
  • Disaster recovery
  • Security cameras
  • Help desk services
  • General hardware consulting
(Not all companies provide all these services.)
Why are these companies considered Tech Partners?

The participating companies offer IT services to support small businesses. Our Tech Partners understand Google Fiber technology and customer service policies, and they work with us to recommend and set up Google Fiber service for local businesses.

Does Google charge for inclusion as a Google Fiber Tech Partner?

No. Google does not charge for inclusion in the Google Fiber Tech Partner Program or accept payment for better placement in any listing of Google Fiber Tech Partners. Tech Partners agree to notify their customers and customer prospects about the availability of Google Fiber.

My business is looking for IT help. How can I take advantage of this program?

Businesses looking for IT help can visit the program site to find a local Tech Partner that will provide a free initial consultation for any new client.

Why doesn't Google Fiber offer IT services directly?

We’re not experts in the kinds of technical solutions small businesses need. We want to set our customers up for success, so we’re referring them to Tech Partners who can make recommendations for IT management.

How do I contact these companies about their services?
Look through the list on the program site and contact any company directly. Let them know you're a Google Fiber customer – or that you're interested in becoming a Google Fiber customer – and they'll provide a free consultation.
I've worked with an IT company in the program. Can I provide feedback about them directly to Google Fiber?

Yes. Please use this form to provide feedback about your Tech Partner.

Google Fiber makes no promises or representations about the performance or quality of any of the Google Fiber Tech Partners.
