Adding and removing static IPs

This article is about adding or removing static IP addresses in your Google Fiber small business account, and assumes you know which type of IP address (static or dynamic) is best suited to your business needs. If you're not sure about the type of IP addresses you need, you might want to take a few minutes to learn about static IP addresses.

When you sign up for Google Fiber, you can choose to have no (zero) static IP addresses (that is, dynamic IPs for all your devices), one static IP, or multiple static IPs. When you sign up for static IPs, we will assign addresses to you when your service is installed and activated.

If you add multiple static IPs to your Fiber service after it is installed and activated, you must use your own router.

When you add static IPs to your account, we will email you the assigned addresses within four hours and prorate your bill to the date they were assigned.

When you remove static IPs from your account, we will remove the assigned addresses by the end of the current month and your next bill will reflect the change.

If you change from a plan with static IPs to another plan with static IPs, your static WAN address stays the same. You might experience a brief outage in your service (five minutes or less) when your plan changes.

To add or remove static IPs, sign in to Fiber using the email and password you use for your Fiber account. Follow the on-screen instructions to change your service.
