Bringing Google Fiber to mobile homes poses a unique challenge, and we’re working hard to figure out where we can offer Fiber and how to do that successfully. Because mobile homes come in a variety of designs and layouts, we're unable to apply a single solution to all the unique conditions. Some of our challenges include:
- Homes designed to move from place to place, because we need to directly connect the home to a fiber line
- Homes located in remote areas that aren’t near our fiber network
- Homes located on land the homeowner doesn’t own, for example, mobile home & RV parks, which means we must have a signed agreement with the landowner to work on private property
- Homeowners Associations (HOAs) that have strict policies about non-resident access or aesthetic preferences
