Use a prepaid debit card

If you do not have a credit card or debit card, you can use a Visa®, Amex®, Discover®, or MasterCard®-branded prepaid debit card to pay for Google Fiber.

To use a prepaid debit card:

  1.  Purchase a prepaid card. These cards are typically sold at convenience stores and grocery stores.
  2.  Follow the instructions on the prepaid card to activate your card online. (Every card has unique instructions.)

That’s it! You are now ready to pay for Google Fiber services on your Google Fiber account.

If Google Fiber has already been installed in your home, you can use the prepaid card to pay for your service by signing into Google Fiber and clicking Manage Bill on your Account page. From the billing page, click Manage Payment Methods; then click Add Payment Method to add the card. Remember to reload your card at the beginning of each month to ensure continuous service.

Prepaid reloadable cards used for the first time need at least $1 added to the amount of your Fiber bill. This amount is a temporary charge used to verify a prepaid card. For example, to pay a $136.33 Google Fiber bill, you need at least $137.33 loaded on the card.

Be sure to use a prepaid debit card and not a gift card; we do not accept payments by gift card.

Prepaid cards have various fees including set-up, monthly, and reload fees. AARP has an informative article on ways to minimize prepaid card fees.
