Activate Netflix (legacy)

This article applies to customers who have the legacy version of Fiber TV. If you have the new version of our user interface, please view this article on how to activate Netflix app.

If you have a Netflix account, you can associate your Google Fiber TV Box with that account. If you do not have a Netflix account, you can visit Netflix.com for details on how it works and to sign up for an account, or you can sign up on your TV.

To perform the one-time activation procedure:

  1. On the TV Box where you want to watch content from Netflix, press on the remote control, and then select Apps & More.

The Apps & More screen appears.

  2. Select Netflix.

A message prompts you to sign in, if you are a Netflix member, or start a free trial.

  3. If you already have a Netflix membership, click Member sign in, and continue with the next step.

If you are not a member, click Start your FREE Trial, and complete the on-screen sign-up. If you do not want to sign up, press exit and confirm that you want to exit the Netflix app by clicking Yes at the prompt.

You cannot use the Netflix app unless you are a Netflix member.

Pressing google fiber remote on button tv box while anywhere in the Netflix app closes the Netflix app and turns the TV Box off.

  4. On the member sign-in screen, press ok to display the on-screen keyboard.

  5. Using the on-screen keyboard, enter the email address and password associated with your Netflix account, and then select Continue.

Netflix associates your Google Fiber TV Box with your Netflix account and displays your Netflix content.

  6. Repeat this procedure for each TV Box on which you want to watch content from Netflix.

You can launch Netflix for information about how to browse and watch Netflix content after completing this procedure or deactivate Netflix to sign out of your account.

More about Netflix

  • You can use a different Netflix account for each TV Box in your home or the same account for all TV Boxes.

  • Google Fiber TV does not automatically synchronize your Netflix sign-in across all TV boxes in your home. You must sign in to Netflix on each TV Box separately.
