Configure IP addresses

If you want to distribute IP addresses in a specific range to devices on your network, you can specify that range. You can also reserve a specific IP address for a specific device on your network. You can perform these tasks when you are signed in to the Network Box advanced settings interface.

To configure a range of IP addresses:

  1. Navigate to Services > IP Address Distribution.

  2. In the top box, click .

If your screen does not look like the one below, see these alternate instructions.

  3. Under LAN DHCP Pool, next to Start IP Address, enter the first IP address in the range you want to distribute.

  4. Next to End IP Address, enter the last IP address in the range you want to distribute.

  5. Specify other options for the range, if desired.

  6. Click OK.

To reserve an IP address for a specific device:

  1. Navigate to Services > IP Address Distribution.

  2. In the top box, click .

  3. Under Static IP Reservation, click New IP Reservation.

If your screen does not look like the one below, see these alternate instructions.

  4. Enter a description of the IP reservation, the MAC address, and the IP address currently assigned to the device.

At this time, you can assign only IP addresses that have already been assigned by DHCP. So you must use the IP address currently assigned to the device in this step.

  5. Click OK to save the settings.

  6. Click OK on the IP Address Distribution screen to save all changes.
