The settings you can change on this screen are:
Settings | Description |
---|---|
Video Output Mode | Allows you to manually set the output resolution of your TV. This tells the TV Box the resolution of your TV, if it cannot detect it itself. If your TV is connected to the TV Box with an HDMI cable and you enable the Autoconfigure HDMI Resolution option (the next option below), you do not have to set this option. If your TV is connected to the TV Box using component video cables or you have an older HDMI TV that does not properly report its resolution capabilities, you can disable Autoconfigure HDMI Resolution and use this option to manually set the output resolution of your TV. If you enable Autoconfigure HDMI Resolution and then change this option, the next time you power on the TV Box, this setting automatically changes back to the best resolution, according to what the TV Box can detect. |
Autoconfigure HDMI Resolution | When enabled, allows the Google Fiber TV system to automatically set the best resolution (as determined by your TV) when your TV is connected using an HDMI cable. If you enable this option but your TV has no picture, try disabling this setting and then set Video Output Mode (above) manually. |
3D TV Compatibility | When enabled, allows the Google Fiber TV system to automatically set your TV to 3D when you play a 3D show. If you enable this option but your TV is not 3D-capable, it has no effect. |
User Interface Position & Size | Allows you to adjust the position and size of the image on your TV screen. When you select Adjust, the adjustment utility starts. Follow the instructions on the screen. For the best experience, adjust the position and size to just fill your entire screen. Your Installation Specialist set this for you initially, but you can adjust this setting if you ever change TVs. |
Display Aspect Ratio | Allows you to adjust the display aspect ration of your TV for video playback. When you select Adjust, the adjustment utility starts. Follow the instructions on the screen. Your Installation Specialist set this for you initially, but you can adjust this setting if you ever change TVs. |
Screensaver Timeout |
The amount of time of inactivity before the screensaver is displayed, if video is not currently playing. If you select Never, the screensaver is never displayed. |
TV Idle |
The TV Idle feature, which functions only while you are watching live TV,allows you to specify what to do when your TV has been inactive for a period of time.
