What is the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?
The Affordable Connectivity Program is a program created by the US federal government and administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) with oversight from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). With this program, eligible households can receive up to a $30 discount toward their monthly internet services.
The ACP is non-transferable and limited to one monthly internet discount per household. If the ACP ends, you transfer your benefit to another provider, or you are no longer eligible for the ACP, regular rates will apply. Subject to terms and conditions.
Who is eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program?

How long will I continue to receive the ACP benefit?
If the ACP ends, you transfer your benefit to another provider, or you are no longer eligible for the ACP, you will no longer receive the ACP benefit towards your monthly bill for Google Fiber services. The FCC may periodically seek confirmation of your eligibility until the program ends.

Can another member of my household receive this benefit?
The Affordable Connectivity Program benefit is limited to only one benefit per household. Additionally, the application ID, first name, last name, date of birth, and physical address of the person who was approved for the benefit on the FCC’s website must match the information in the application submitted through Google Fiber’s ACP Subsidy Form. If the person who was approved for the benefit qualified via a benefit qualifying person (BQP), the BQP’s first name and last name must also be provided through our form.
What if I move, will I lose my eligibility?
Moving homes will not cause you to lose your Affordable Connectivity Program eligibility. However, if Google Fiber is not available at your new location, you will need to cancel your Google Fiber internet service and enroll in the ACP with another provider at the new location.
What happens if I am enrolled in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) with another internet provider?
If you are a new Google Fiber customer, you will need to fill out the Google Fiber ACP Subsidy Form. In this form you will be asked if you allow Google Fiber to transfer your ACP benefit from your old internet provider to Google Fiber. By transferring your ACP benefit to Google Fiber, your benefit will no longer apply to any service you receive from another provider, and you may be subject to that provider's undiscounted rates if you maintain service from them. Your household is limited to one ACP-transfer transaction per service month with limited exceptions. Once your Google Fiber service is installed, you will be notified on the status of your ACP application typically within 48 hours, and if approved you will receive the subsidy credit starting on your next billing cycle.
If I transfer providers, can I keep the Affordable Connectivity Program?
The Affordable Connectivity Program benefit is available with other internet providers. You may obtain ACP-supported service from any participating provider of your choosing. We’ll be sorry to see you go but you can check the FCC’s site for more information on other participating providers.
