Ending our HBO NOW Partnership

Our partnership with HBO NOW is ending on December 31, 2020.

If you currently subscribe to HBO NOW through your Google Fiber account, we will stop automatically renewing your HBO NOW subscription. Your December 2020 bill will be the last time you pay for HBO NOW through Google Fiber.

Your HBO NOW subscription will end based on your subscription date. To view subscription details, sign into your Google Fiber account, visit the streaming page, and click on details. There will be no changes to your Google Fiber internet service.

If you’d like to continue watching HBO content, you can subscribe to HBO Max directly for $14.99/month.

FAQs:

Why is Google Fiber ending its partnership with HBO NOW?

We believe streaming offers customers greater choice and control for their TV watching needs. Google Fiber no longer offers HBO NOW to customers as we believe a superior offering is available to customers with HBO Max. In addition to all the HBO movies and original series that HBO NOW provides, HBO Max also offers additional content from WarnerMedia brands at the same price. It features 10,000 hours of premium content combining all of HBO together with even more movies, shows, and Max Originals for the whole family.

Why is my HBO NOW subscription not ending on December 31, 2020?

With HBO NOW streaming, you pay in advance for each month of access to service. The date you activated your HBO NOW streaming service is your renewal date for HBO NOW.

For example: If you activated HBO NOW on the 15th of the month, that’s your renewal date. If you receive your Google Fiber bill on the first of the following month, payment of your Google Fiber bill covers one month of access to the streaming service—from last month’s renewal date (the 15th) to next month’s renewal date (the 15th).
